About me

Hello my name is Nick Grew.  I live in Codsall in South Staffordshire and am both a practising Surgeon and a Sculptor.

My work includes both portrait, figurative and abstract sculpture and this website hopes to demonstrate some of this work to both those wishing to commission work and others simply interested in sculpture.

I have always had a broad interest in art, caricature and sculpture. I am inspired by the beauty and complexity of the human face, body and anatomy and how this expresses the intensity and depth of human thought, feeling and experience.

I have recently been appointed an Associate of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (ARBSA) and am particularly pleased to be part of this highly respected organization.

In exhibition I have been fortunate enough to win a number of prizes and commendations. In particular I won the Sarasin and Partners National Fine Art Prize in 2014 and the Halls Shropshire and Staffordshire Artists Prize 2016.

In medicine I work in Head and Neck Cancer and Reconstructive Surgery.

I hope you enjoy browsing the site and if you have any questions or would like to commission a piece please feel free to contact me here. It is always interesting to discuss ideas around new or existing works.
