Below are a couple of videos that might add some more interest to what I tried to cover in the talk.
The first shows the installation of the sculpture childhood at the Nuffield Hospital, Wolverhampton. It is installed on a large Portland stone block with a parallel installation of a bench in Portland stone and Iroko wood. Both were designed to work together in the space. I designed the bench to go with the sculpture so that patients and relatives could sit and hopefully enjoy the sculpture or turn and wait for their lift from the hospital. (I'm in the Red Top ;) )
The second is again in stop motion and covers the early stages of the making of a portrait of my much loved and sadly deceased grandmother in the end stages of her life. I planned/plan this to be part of a larger piece. This work has the additional challenge of working from only limited images and videos.
