Charles completed an MA in Fine Art 2007.  Since 1998 he has runs Life Drawing groups in and around North Staffordshire including Newcastle, Burslem and Caverswall.

He member of Open Studios for two years in 2005/2006 and was award the Painting Prize at the Stafford Open Art exhibition in 2013.

Charles believes that life drawing, painting and portraiture never loss their appeal  – what a privilege. He feels that he tries to simply respond to the challenge of representing the person sitting for me in an honest and colourful way.
